A changing workforce, the rethinking of process, new technologies, the cloud and mobile will all disrupt digital in the next five years, says OpenText's Tom Jenkins.
“When you think about digital, just think of crowdfunding. It didn't used to exist," said Jenkins during his keynote address at Interzone. "What will it look like in next five years? It will have an incredible impact on financial institutions."
Before launching into a panel discussion with CenturyLink's Geoff Hayward and UrtheCast's Scott Larson, Tom touched on how digital natives are changing the way we work. These digital natives, usually under the age of 35, are being held back in the workplace.
"Digital natives are decelerated when they join our firms," Tom said. "Digital natives grew up differently... their brains are different."
Tom joked by saying that in five years, his panel might in fact be hosted by robots or machines (but let's hope not). Check out some Interzone tweets on the disruption of digital:
